Profile:

Proudest moment? - collecting the Waddilove Cup in 1991 from League President John Clapham (ex HCC) having led a very talented team to a nerve wracking victory over Otley in front of a great crowd, including a large Horsforth contingent. To be also congratulated that day by HCC Hon Life member Stan Cooper who was then the only other skipper to lift the trophy, in 1953. Then, two weeks later, watching Bill Davis, rescue us at Tong Park to win the League with a great knock.

Best year? - 1982 - over 800 runs, two consecutive 100's in A Division - versus Otley and Guiseley - being presented with a mounted scorecard of 159n.o. by skipper Johnnie Miller, who announced that I would never have another season as good - he was right!!

Happy Days? - all of them, especially early 1990s - heroes such as Mytton, JK, The Shot Inventor, Stathes, TP, Big Daft Goat, Picca, Bilbo, Eddie, Big Dick Head Waiter. The Horse's Mouth Tuesday 'copy' nights - home for midnight. Jogging nights with Miller (jnr), Martin Crowe and Mark Greatbatch (to drop a few names). Pre - match fry ups with Johnnie Miller / Lyndsay Crocker. Supping from trophies won filled with a 'top shelf selection' topped up with orangeade.

I could go on - but you've probably lost interest in my reverie.
