Simon Jackson

Name: Simon Jackson
Nickname: Jacko
Date of birth: 20/04/1980
Position: Batsman
Batting Style: Left Hand Batsman
Bowling Style: Left Arm Medium
Other: Part Time Wicket Keeper
Highest Score: 107
Best Bowling: 1 wicket @ U17
Honours: Apart from apparently being the first person to buy Champagne (served in wine glasses - Will Baker please note) in the Old Ball and not get lynched ... the remainder revolve around a glittering late 90s career in a Denison Cup and U17 East Division winning 1997.

Profile Departed to pastures new for the 2006 season after 15 or so years at Alwoodley and am yet to establish any sort of cricketing credentials at Brownberrie Lane.

Profile:

Most notable cricketing incidents in the career include being reported to the League for asking the question whether an Umpire was on crack following a very dubious leg bye decision when no shot was offered and missing a catch at Cow Corner which preceded to bounce off the nose and away for a North Leeds boundary.

Invariably gets out early doors due to insufficient foot movement and a tendency to walk across the stumps no doubt heading towards some public house or other salubrious establishment.

Comments regarding the unnecessary slope at Alwoodley C.C. no longer continue to rile him.
